Lavington Lions from October 2024
Emails to Lavington Lions
I had sent emails to the secretary but never got a reply from them.
Hello nonsecretary secretary
I spoke to Suzie earlier today and discovered that a whole lot of people have been reading my emails without any considering a response to me would be appropriate.
Around 1990 I was one of the folk beginning the Bateman Lions but did not stay long because those wanting to run things had zero idea of how to manage a club. I would have thought this lot would be better.
Suzie has pointed out you will be discussing my problem with you in a fortnight when you will be meeting. I did not realise Lavington was so big but seeing this is 2025 I did think you would all be up with current methods of communication. Discovering Suzie's phone number was after a huge amount of searching to find any contacts. The Mornington Lions was what you should be emulating.
You were saved from the Border Mail because Nicola told me Janet Howe was not at work when I rang and she objected to my description of the two who wrote the disparaging item about David Thurley calling me a racist as dickheads.
I subsequently sent an email to the news email which she obviously read because all my later calls went to leave a message.
This was the email.
Yesterday I was grateful for having discovered a member of Lavington Lions.
Today I am wondering about the mental capacity of the members of the organisation seeing they were aware a member of the public had given one of their members a pile of books to be distributed in exchange for reviews of said books being written.
To not respond to the affected party is completely unacceptable.
To not identify members who took books and make them aware that reviews are necessary for the books to be kept is also unacceptable.
My knowledge of your member is based on his behaviour in 2020 and 2021 with my daughter’s involvement in your speaking competition.
At that time he was a normal individual although believing Bruce Pascoe’s Dark Emu was a truthful description of Aboriginal history I thought a bit much seeing there is so much on sources such as gutenberg.net to show it is all false and that because he had been a school principal he should be brighter.
I gave him the books believing he was normal. I thought you lot were normal. Unfortunately both assumptions are false and while I told Suzie I would wait until you lot had displayed your lack of concern about my property by saying you would think about it in two weeks I am intending to promote my cause in all ways I can.
To say I am unhappy with the way you have treated me is a huge understatement.
Descriptions of people who show a complete lack of concern for others will obviously include terms, phrases and sentences unacceptable to FaceBook so all such items will be on display on my two websites maxwellempirebooks.com and tfoala.org. People and organisations contacted about your unacceptable behaviour will be sent there.
It could be that Malcolm is just behaving in a manner appropriate in your organisation which should make you think you need to change.
Subsequent emails from the club Treasurer and District.
Email from Treasurer
At last, a communication from Lions Club of Lavington Inc.
Unfortunately Malcolm has told the author a complete pack of lies.
It is extremely upsetting that an organisation is not consulting the injured party and considering what the truth could be.
It does appear that Malcolm has kept the books as reading material on his tours. This lot could obviously ascertain whether that is the case if they were the least bit interested.
The emails received today are labelled ITEM 1 for the email from the Lions and if you have read my previous emails you will see it is filled with false information.
My three responses are ITEM 2, 3 and 4 as I could not believe they thought they were in possession of factual information.
ITEM 1
Dear Mr Partington,
I write in regard to the delivery of books written by you and intended to be made available for sale on the Amazon website. As you have indicated, a box of 12 such books was collected, at your request, on behalf of the Lions Club of Lavington to the intent that the same would be distributed among our members. You had indicated a wish that the members consider writing a review.
No undertaking was given that any such review would be written. Any such written review was a matter for the consideration of each individual member. Regretfully, no member was prepared to submit a favourable review.
Certain it is that the failure to sell your books is not attributable to the reluctance of members, on a voluntary basis, to submit reviews.
It is reasonable to assume that you exercised your right to seek reviews from persons other than the members of the Lions Club of Lavington.
The Club is disappointed that you have seen fit to make defamatory comments which adversely affect the good name and repute of the Club and its members.
Should any such conduct continue, the Club reserves the right to pursue the remedies available to it.
Regards,
Michael
ITEM 2
As I have indicated clearly in previous emails and conversations the only way an individual could take a book was by agreeing to write a review on Amazon.
Hence no review, no book.
Your member is unfortunately not giving you accurate information.
So collect the books from your members and return them to me
or
get them to write reviews
or
pay me for the books.
Under no circumstances were the books given to Malcolm Scott without him knowing reviews were the requirement for taking a book.
As you say, this matter is not concluded until my expectations are met.
If you have looked at the website maxwellempirebooks.com you will see another possibility on the history of the books is that Malcolm took some of them on his travels for group members to read. Obviously completely contrary to my expectations. His current lies reinforces my belief that such has occurred.
Get Malcolm to tell you the truth. Believing his lies is contrary to common sense.
Maxwell Partington
ITEM 3
Still calming down from your lies.
Stop believing Malcolm.
Malcolm returned two sets of books.
He said when I phoned him earlier all had been taken.
By all I mean the five sets of five books, the twenty or so not in sets, the ten Xlibris books.
Maxwell Partington.
ITEM 4
Based on your idea of two sets is this meant to be the two sets Malcolm returned to my door?
Have you found any members who got books.
The whole lot could have been taken on tour.
Maxwell Partington
A response from
Hello Julie
Unfortunately Julie what you describe are not the facts.
I will post the two vouchers to them and seek legal advice because as well as being liars they are ignorant about using the internet to find prices.
Malcolm was given five sets of books. Each set was books 1-4 Scripted and one Andys Diary.
And over twenty not in sets.
And 10 paperback Maxwell Empire Books 1 and 2 from Xlibris. I kept the one hard cover and had given away two paperbacks. The thirteen books I received from Xlibris having spent $1,300 with them for publishing the books. I was not after $1,000 but Amazon value for each is AU$31.88.
Andys Diary is AU$30.
The other books are a bit over AU$18.
I have not checked the state of the two sets he left on the front step.
Whoever is your contact at Lavington Lions should be identified.
Currently I am only aware of the identity of Malcolm Scott and the treasurer and those are the names I will be giving to whoever in the USA is interested in the reputation of Lions.
Obviously you will also need to be identified.
I suggest you seek better informants.
Maxwell Partington
There were many other emails I sent to other nearby clubs, the Australian Lions, Lions in USA, but with complete disinterest by them in accepting the truth that they had a liar and thief in their midst or doing anything about it.
The saga continues but I took everything off my websites thinking I would stop thinking about them but unfortunately I still am.
