About the Darling Fault

Darling Fault slippage. West coast of Australia slips down 110m. Perth and hundreds of kilometres north and south under water.

 

A message appeared after the Darling Fault collapse on the western coast of Australia. It had been hidden for thousands of years. It was addressed to the survivors of the collapse. It was from a mining type person who was obviously upset with the locals because he, or she, had initiated the collapse. They had organised thousands of holes to be drilled which had been the cause of the slump. He says “Bye bye arseholes” but obviously he expected a result considerably sooner.

He, or a she, was not identified so now there is a lot of research going on through Earth records to try to ascertain who would do such a thing and who could do such a thing.

What a way to begin July. An Earth saga. An update from June 18^th. All about the Darling Fault sinking.

Folk in Space City had their attention brought to the west coast of Australia by a thousand kilometres of a line of light. It was spectacular, even from thirty five thousand kilometres up.

What was it? That was the obvious question on every brain that had seen it.

Telescopes showed the answer.

The whole section of the continent west of the Darling Fault had gone down. Beneath the sea. Sunk. Everything destroyed.

The world knew immediately that help was needed.

The world was awash with a record of the event as an enormous number of cameras showed what was happening.

Robots in all shapes and sizes sped to the rescue. Tsunami were known to them and their response was quick for them and this was just a huge such event.

Video drones swarmed everywhere. I cannot imagine that any part of the event was not recorded.

Roboserves were saving humans and animals from the sea and taking them up to waiting roboairships. How smart it was for both to be coordinated. Bigger animals were plonked on rafts robots had rapidly constructed. Smart robots.

What we were watching was history from four years ago. Just how exciting it must have been for humans on Earth when it actually happened.

It is 4587 and we are seeing the first movie of the sinking of the west coast. We will only have one a week and after seeing this one that will be enough for sure.

Well, we finally have a few minutes of action seeing the sinking of the west coast. Scary. Close up of drowning animals of all sorts including humans, buildings toppling over left, right and centre, stuff floating on the surface of the water all over the place. Robots showing they are really smart with roboairships waiting above for roboserves to drop off the animals they have saved, including humans, sheep, pigs, even horses which took two of them. As the Octet says, all animals are equal.

Well, we get to see a new movie about the west coast sinking every week or so and it is certainly worth the wait.

Talk about catastrophe.

The Earthlings back then as it happened must have been glued to their TV screens with the sound turned down because it was all so horrendous.

Buildings collapsing, huge waves washing absolutely everything away, people and animals in just so many scary situations.

The human who caused all this must have been really upset with the locals when they set this up.

The movies only last a few minutes but, believe me, that is enough fright for a week.

Well, the charging down the slope after those speedy girls was a huge dose of excitement today but it was certainly outdone by the new west coast movie.

On the way back home we watched it not once, not twice, but three times and some even then watched it some more.

Weekly episodes is obviously the expectation with us then seeing our latest dose of the human trauma that was experienced when the land went down, down.

Hang gliding is stirring on take off and landing but with big spaces of peace in between which was not what we had on the way back because the latest movie from the west coast kept us all enthralled with the ships at the port south of the capital city ending up washed way, way inland. Those waves were just enormous. I just hope no one here gets so upset as to have it all sink beneath the waves.

And as the waves washed in they took absolutely everything with them.

Forest, buildings, you name it, it was gone.

Here the robots would not allow a human to set up such a future scenario. Not that I can imagine a human getting as upset on this planet as that person was.

Just as well these movies are not long as with us all watching them several times to catch all there is to see it adds up to a lengthy movie time.

What a good reason to visit the ski slopes. West coast movie time.

A million people must have been recording their last moments as the land headed beneath the waves because once again we watched in awe the effect of causing the land to the west of the Darling Fault go down, down, down.

Sending your movies to the cloud meant they survived even though you did not. And they all have sound. Chilling. Can’t say that I watched that movie more than once. Screams are upsetting.

Just as well our roboserves do not get as confused as those we saw tonight.

What to do? What to do?

That is what the roboserves were thinking four years ago on Earth after the west coast sank.

As were the roboairships, cars, trucks and all the others.

Just as well developing a new planet is not beset with catastrophes like Earth suffered or we would all be gone.

You would expect a whole coast sinking to be preceded by a whole lot of tremors and similar earth shaking; not to have it all immediately head for the depths of the ocean.

Some of the robots got it right but I figure that was by good luck rather than good management.

When we get the news on just how disastrous this event was I think we will all be appalled.

The human causing all this must have been one pissed off person.

Just as well all of us humans get on so well.

Although I guess we have upset a few who had thoughts of higher beings.

Now that could be a problem. It was the people on Earth with a set of beliefs different to other people that caused such huge wars that it was all stopped.

Perhaps stopping it so early has solved the potential problem.

I hope so.

Next trip we will see more of the west coast and be even more upset.

Just as well a roboairship gives us room to thrash the sports gear and fix up our systems.

Tonight’s movie of the west coast dropping beneath the waves was the latest we have received and it was as gruesome as the others if not more so.
We were upset at seeing heaps of humans dying but also at seeing heaps of robots falling out of the sky as they ran out of charge. They were carrying one or more humans so they perished as well.
With all the robots sending a record of what was going on this would have to be the worst event ever to be witnessed by people because the sights and sounds were so appallingly gruesome.
It was not more than a quarter of an hour long but we watched it again and again as there was so much going on with roboserves dropping out of the sky and the humans they were carrying screaming as death was nigh. Each time we saw and heard other humans in their last moments or longer as some were higher when the roboserve ran out of juice.
Talk about a memorable event. Even worse than the planes being flown into the buildings in the 21st century. Actually, much worse as it was all up front and personal.
Probably just as well that we do not get a new movie from Earth daily.
We thrashed the basketball before having a sleep.

Well, the movie we watched today was bits of the recording taken from the Space City and while it was not up close and personal it was very interesting to see the whole of the west coast drop beneath the waves, so to speak. It was there and then it wasn’t. Obviously that Big Bang sent a message to the rocks to go down, down, down.

Well, I hope we do not get too many movies like the one today.

The roboserves were overwhelmed because there were just too many people needing rescuing.

They had all got on top of the tallest buildings. But so few buildings. Most had shaken to bits or were beneath the waves. People were all screaming for help. Screaming. And there were not enough roboserves.

As the waves destroyed a building it was just so sad. All the people left on it were trying to stay afloat but they sank one by one. They all had their clothes on to weigh them down.

It was dreadful.

Eventually most buildings were flattened by the waves.

Just as well that robots do not have feelings because the scenes we saw today from the activation of the Darling Fault on the west coast of the Australian continent would have had them completely incapable of rescuing the thousands who needed help.

The views from the roboserves as they took the humans and other animals east to safety were immensely depressing for us viewers.

Every place above the water was crowded with life and as we watched the waves washed some of them away. Talk about horrendous.

Whoever instigated this catastrophe thousands of years ago had better remain unknown otherwise any descendants will be harassed as having the genes of a monster. That individual or group must have been really upset with the locals.

Finally, a movie with a glimmer of hope.

Boats heading east.

Anyone near a marina had squeezed onto a boat that had survived the waves; and I do mean squeezed. Not a square centimeter of deck free of life.

We saw some of the boats swamped by the waves, particularly as they neared safety in the east, but what a sight. Boats covering the sea surface.

Rescue from the rest of the country has still not arrived in any of these views of the destruction. This part of the Earth has always been the most isolated on the planet.

The cavalry is here.

And what a sight.

Roboplanes all over the place picking up life from the places still above water. And so many to pick up. The roboserves now just going up and down as they do not have to head east any more. Animals swimming in the sea also now joining in the rescued. Some of them needed more than one roboserve to lift them up.

Some robot must have been allocating tasks as to have a cow mixed with humans could be disastrous if the cow started kicking.

The sea surface is covered in debris from the destruction which a whole lot of people are finding advantageous as it gives them something to cling onto after the house they were in went under.

I guess these rescues will go on for days.

No more buildings above the water. Just debris, debris and more debris. Shows how much we humans pollute the environment. But the roboairships have arrived and move slowly over the surface with their roboserves regularly descending to the surface to pluck a survivor to safety.

Go east, human. Is the obvious rallying cry from the crowd of robots attending the west coast survivors. The view from Space City is of a stream of roboairships carrying survivors east to all parts of the country to house them. On the return journey the roboairships carry all the essentials to support the people waiting their turn.

Having the world completely dependent on robots is a huge advantage as they can work 24/7.
