See the only brave bird having breakfast. A dozen or more were chicken chickens.

This guy is the chicken who is not chicken. The dozen or so other feathered folk were too chicken to get a feed.

Therapy cat

Bobbie Cat has for a couple of weeks been comforting me about my lack of mobility because of an arthritic left knee which means that sometimes I have difficulty moving around particularly up the front steps.

Breakfast for the cats is early in the morning when they hear me making the noise you know while I empty my bladder after waking up. This is any time after 3.30 but hopefully a bit later like 5.30. Anyway Mum Cat and her daughter Sissy keep saying we want breakfast at the back door.

So they get let in.

I go to the front door and usually have to turn on the front light because it is still dark and shine the torch to see just where son Bobbie Cat is. He will be lying down waiting.

I have to get down to him, pick him up and head back to the stairs.

Here it depends on the day.

Some days he ends up upside down as I tackle the two stairs with the help of the rail. He puts up with it. If we do get in the front door he expects to be taken to the laundry where they have breakfast.

The three of them then get breakfast.

Some days he has to make do with walking through the front door because the (appropriate words) knee packed it in.

Some days the other two have started breakfast because he was not out the front so when I have another look and he has appeared and is waiting he has to be carried in and wait while his breakfast is prepared.

He makes a habit of changing his routine but this one which makes me feel so good I hope continues.
